Web based financial charting tool to rival Google along with a fund management system. These projects formed part of a £2.5m system called IFA Desktop.
Winterthur
This project was my first experience of Agile (scrum) development and posed a number of significant challenges, not only with the project approach, but the technical complexity. At a time when C# had not been around for long, this was an ambitious development that hoped to rival Google's suite of financial tools. I managed a team of 15 developers and designers, who had to work alongside the clients own development teams and three delivery partners.
It's needless to say that this experience took my project management abilities to the next level, having managed large teams and also having had to work at a senior operational level. A hugely enjoyable project to work on which stretched the boundaries of what was physically possible to do online at the time. Since the system is a secure site, the visuals I have included are those of the google charting tool - the tools we created were much more impressive (imagine interactive charts meet google earth).
